Group: Diversity and Equity Committee, School of Social Work

From the group:

The African American Read-In (ARRI) is an opportunity to incorporate African American literature into their celebration of Black History Month. We converted the atrium of Peters hall into a comfortable space where people could sit and listen and/or share their favorite pieces of literature. For our (AARI) we had 25 readers read continuously for 5 hours. On our second day we had the author and publisher Jessica Care Moore read. We also provided texts for our guests and readers. The TCF funding went toward refreshments and books we donated to participants.
