Nearly 400 people from University of Minnesota students, staff and faculty as well as members from the local community attended the event. The event took place in Great Hall of Coffman Memorial Union. There were two parts of the event. In the first part, posters presenting the history of Bangladesh and Bangla language were on display. There were also stalls for “Henna Tattoo” and “Decorative Photo Booth” that were loved greatly, especially by the kids. The second part was the cultural part which was the main attraction of the night and all the performances were largely applauded by the audience. It consisted of solo, couple and group dance, various genres of music like folk, pop, Tagore fashion show, recitation of poems. The night concluded with a dinner comprising delicious foods from Bangladeshi cuisine. After 2 yrs lost in the pandemic, this event made everyone excited and enabled them to celebrate the Bangla culture in a fun-filled evening.
